Couldn't play in Lafayette, IN this morning so drove east to Marion, IN to play my old stand-by course Club Run. This is a nice wide open flat layout with a few trees that breakup the fairways and wind. A few funky holes (6,9) for par 4's using irons off the tee, but that happens. Very windy today but walking for $18 for 18 holes, kept me warm and moving. Shot 79/30putts from the tips (6,226 yds / 127 slope) because of a good day with the flat stick. Greens a little slow but its November and normally run a smooth 6-8 when in season. Always worth stopping in the PM because its sister course Walnut Creek next door picks up the regulars. Located 5 minutes off I-69 / Gas City Exit, make it a great stop for highway golf. No PM tee time required, 90% of the time.
