WoW! What a track and paying $25 18/cart (2hrs 10minutes) for a 1978 Rees Jones design that was in excellence condition no manner where you landed, it was a steal at price/conditions. I played the Fodder Stack first (3,509yd Par 36) in 65 minutes because of shooting 39 w/16putts and conditions that were ideal wherever the ball landed. The beautifully mowed tight fairways that were feeding into the fully protected slick greens(9-10), made this an enjoyable golf outing. I never hit so many 4 /5 irons into greens that held and putted as true as they did here today. All of the hole landing areas are straight forward as being viewed from where you are standing with no blind landing areas to worry about. My second nine was the Knobs Nine (3,351yd Par 36) that was more hilly than the Fodder layout and would be a Links style but for #8 195yd Par 3 that is seen in the course photo. You find yourself stand about 100' above the peninsula green, hitting into the wind and thinking, "Landing short or traps, isn't all that bad". I shot 37 w/18 putts on this rolling hardwood lined layout with idea conditions on this well maintained Rees Jones 6,860yd / 73.1 / 129 / Par 72 layout. I didn't play the Chimney Top Nine (3,473yd Par 36) but it looked hilly as it follows the housing area and I was running out of daylight. This Graysburg GC is a MUST play if you are in the area, as its the best Greeneville, TN has to offer.
