Detailed description

Wildwood Marshes Golf Course is public 9/10 hole golf course located in Hayward, Wisconsin.

Wildwood Marshes Golf Course opened for play in 2009. The course was designed by Joel Goldstrand, the Wildwood Back 9 golf course opened in 2009.

Wildwood Marshes Golf Course is envisioned to be an 18 hole golf course and the design has been laid out. The original 9 holes is named the "Wildwood Back 9". As of 2011, a 10th hole has been completed.

The Wildwood Back 9 was inspired by the moors of Scotland, the nine holes wind their way across rolling meadows bordered by vast cranberry marshes, a tree-lined lake, and numerous small ponds. This is a "Links Style" course. The completion date has been delayed due to the current economic conditions but work is still continuing, and the plan is to complete the remaining holes as soon as possible. The 9th hole, a par 3, is complete and is being played as part of the "10 holes". Hole No.1 is complete and is being played as the starting hole for the "Back Nine".

The 9-hole "Wildwood Back 9" course at Wildwood Marshes Golf Club measures a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,501 yards and plays to a nine-hole par of 36.

Wildwood Marshes closed in 2014.
