Apostle Highlands Golf Course first opened for play in 1991. The course was designed by Stan Korpella.

The course is located on a hilltop overlooking the Apostle Islands, from which it gets it's name. Surrounded by the world's largest freshwater sea, the Bayfield Peninsula provides the setting for Apostle Highlands Golf Course. Lake Superior can be seen on 13 holes.
