Moundsville Country Club

Moundsville Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Moundsville, West Virginia. 

The golf course first opened for play in 1940. The course was expanded to 18 holes in the 1960s

Moundsville Country Club golf course is a flat course built alongside the Ohio River. Although a fairly wide-open course, trees do come into play. Water comes into play on two holes where the Ohio River runs parallel to the course. The most challenging hole is #15, a 601-yard, par 5, featuring the river flowing alongside the fairway. The front nine plays shorter than the back nine.

Moundsville Country Club golf course plays to 6,317 yards from the Blue tees and a par-70. The course rating is 70.5 and the slope rating is 124. From the forward tees, the course measures 5490 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 601 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 135 yards from the back tees.

Sam Snead won the West Virginia Open at MCC, he considered the course among his favorites in the state.
