Detailed description

Touchet Valley Golf Course, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Dayton, Washington near the Columbia County Fairgrounds.

This county owned course was built in 1910 on a dairy farm and today part of the course lies on the infield of the Columbia County Fairgrounds horse track.

The layout offers plenty of challenging golf with two par 5 holes, sand, water, and the fairly unusual race track hazard. A unique course amid beautiful scenery. The 9-hole course plays to a maximum distance of 2,931 yards and plays to a par of 36. The course rating is 35.5 with a slope rating of 122.

Holes #7 and #8 are in the center of the track, and the only pond on the course is found on holes #3 and #4. The fairways are open but tree lined, and the small greens are flat. The most difficult hole is #3, a 570-yard, par 5, that often plays into a strong wind. The fairway on this hole is also extremely narrow with water coming into play on the second shot.
