Detailed description

Jade Greens Golf Club is a Public 9 hole golf course located in Auburn, Washington.

The course opened for play on June 16, 1990. Construction of the golf course started in May of 1988. The course was designed by Jim Hawk, Sr. on land he has since the mid-1950s. The nine-hole regulation course plays around a 35-acre wetland known as Mooney Swamp.

The Club House, Driving Range and Jade Rock Cafe were finished the year after the 1990 course opening. They officially were ready for the public in the middle of August 1991.

Jade Greens Golf Course plays to a 9-hole par of 34 and a maximum 9-hole distance of 2,656 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 34. The course rating is 65.9, and it has a slope rating of 113.

The course is a family owned and operated business and is considered by golfers a challenging as well as a friendly place to golf.

Jade Greens Golf Club closed on November 27, 2016.

Jade Greens had been operating without water rights permission. When this became known, the course owner applied for permission.

Jade Greens Golf Course was denied water rights permission needed to irrigate the course. The course is located in the Green River watershed, specifically in an area where groundwater withdrawals can affect water flowing into the Covington Creek, which in turn could affect water going into the Big Soos Creek and eventually into the Green River.

All tributaries of the Green River, including Covington and Big Soos Creeks, are closed to new water right permits.

Without the ability to irrigate, the course was forced to close.
