The South Course contrasts its sister to the north with minimal water hazards. However, it does possess its own challenges with large ample putting surfaces and rolling terrain through rows of mature white pines that place an emphasis on shot making.
The South course at Bowling Green Country Club plays to 5,991 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 67.5 and the slope rating is 110.

The only negative of the course condition is the tee boxes on most holes are small and hard because of the absence of grass. Fairways and greens are much better. Cart paths are badly in need of repair.

Rolling terrain and tree lined fairways require precise ball positioning. Greens are generous, but well trapped.
