This challenging golf course overlooks Lake Texoma is difficult because of the water and wind. Be ready when you arrive, because the first two holes can ruin your day. Some say that #1 is the hardest on the golf course, playing 414 yards into a dogleg that's protected by a fairway bunker.
#2 is longer at 444 yards -- you'll need a monster tee shot to set up a reasonable approach into the bunkered green. One of the most difficult holes is #2, a 444-yard, par 4, requiring a long tee shot up a slight dogleg left fairway, then an approach shot to a well-bunkered green.
#14 goes 230 yards with water on the right, and no. 18 is a reachable par 5 with water in play on the first two shots.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,993 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,925 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 555 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 177 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 1, a 414-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is #13, a 390 yard par-4.

The proshop and food service were lackluster, but the golf course was in great shape. On a Saturday, and a Sunday, we had virtually no one in front of us, and no one behind us. It was unfortunate that there was no beverage cart, though. We got a special package from Tanglewood Resort for $100/person that gave us unlimited golf for the weekend. We'll definitely be going back.
