Abilene Country Club, is a Private, 36 hole golf facility located in Abilene, Texas. Abilene Country Club has two 18-hole golf courses, The Club Course and The Faiway Course.
The Abilene Country Club, Club Course first opened for play in 1923. The course was designed by Williams, Gill & Associates, Inc.
The Club course is 6310 yards long and 165 acres of rolling hills and lush surroundings. The finished product is a reflection of the scenic country that surrounds Abilene. The par 71 layout has six lakes, beautiful Buttonwillow Creek and a number of challenging holes. Each hole has four separate and strategically located tees that both challenge and reward players of varying skills. With this system, The Club Course ranges from 4980 to 6310 yards, depending upon the skills of individual players.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6310 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4980 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 15, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 8, a par-3 that plays to 175 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 14, a 190 yard par-3 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Abilene Country Club, Club Course is # 1, a 480 yard par-5.

Great greens; plenty of trees. Course is currently being modified (shortened) to a Par 70. The course can be very forgiving. There are lateral water hazards on 4 holes and water to cross on 2 holes.
