Signal Mountain Golf & Country Club

Signal Mountain Golf & Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located less than 20 minutes from downtown Chattanooga in Signal Mountain, Tennessee.

The course first opened for play in 1922.

Designed to follow the terrain of the mountain, no two holes are alike. The fairways are tree lined, and there is enough variety of terrain to challenge any skill level. Water does not come into play, but there are sand bunkers placed strategically throughout the design. One particularly difficult hole is #15, a 359-yard, par 4, featuring a three-tiered green that frustrates any golfer who doesn't hit a precise approach shot.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,148 yards. From the forward tees, par is 72 and the course measures 4,716 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 534 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 3, a par-3 that plays to 132 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, a 395-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Signal Mountain is # 11, a 288 yard par-4.
