Detailed description

Mirimichi Golf Course, previously named Big Creek Golf Club, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Millington, Tennessee, just 15 minutes north of downtown Memphis.

Mirimichi / Big Creek, first opened for play in 1976. The course was designed by B.G. Mitchell.

The golf course was previously called the 'Big Creek Golf Course,' was in dire straits in 2007, when pop star Justin Timberlake and his family acquired the property. Timberlake spent a reported $16 million in renovating Mirimichi, the golf course where he learned to love the game as a boy. The course reopened in July 2009.

Mirimichi is the first golf course in the country to be designated a Certified Audubon International Classic Sanctuary, which necessitates that all certified golf courses implement sustainable practices like wildlife conservation, habitat rehabilitation and enhancement, water conservation and water quality protection.

With bunkers on 17 holes, and water coming into play on 12, Mirimichi is a stern test from any of the five sets of tees.

Watch out for # 16, a 467 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Mirimichi is # 1, a 423 yard par-4.
