Collins River Golf Course opened for play in 2006. The course was designed by Jerry Lemons.
Collins River Golf Cours is a par-36 regulation length 9-hole layout that measures 3,598 yards from the back tees.
Dwight and Hannah O'Neal converted their family nursery into Collins River Golf Course. The Reserve at Collins River is a links type course, where very little dirt was moved. in its construction.
The course is open to the public and offers the warm southern hospitality that is so common in the area. Son, Chris maintains the golf course and enjoys giving the golfers an exceptional experience. A driving range and practice green are available for golfers to practice their skills.
Many of the holes are along the picturesque Collins River and the view of the Harrison Ferry mountain range is spectacular, especially in the fall when the colors of the fall foliage can take your breath away.
Dwight and Hannah's other son, Joe, is a chef and shows off his signature BBQ at the clubhouse and at the McMinnville farmers' market. He offers pulled pork sandwiches, smoked wings, whole chickens, barbecue ribs, brisket and occasionally - Boston butt.

Lots of blind tee shots and sharply sloped fairways. Humps and bumps and bunkers too. No trees to speak of, but heavy rough will keep play "focused" in your own fairway. A real topographical challenge, well laid out-a shame 9 more weren't possible. Greens need a bit of work but were quite puttable where the pins were cut today. Fairways average to good. Hard Winter and wet Spring has them behind on mowing, and traps need some TLC as well. Cart paths are wasted-major overhaul needed there, but no 90 rule either. Played at my own pace because there was no one else playing (Friday). Good driving range. Do not let the satellite/ map view fool you-it's not as simple as it looks. Paid 15 for cart and 9. I usually walk but the elevation changes quickly shifted my gears. Also, this was my first outing since balata covers and steel cleats were standards of shot makers. Hit enough good shots to get back into it. Hit enough bad shots to remember how long it's been. Enjoyed overall and will return to Collins River to keep tuning my game before tackling the fancy courses.
