Alcester Golf Club

Alcester Golf Club is a Public 9 hole golf course located in Alcester, South Dakota.

The Alcester Golf Club began operations in 1962 when a few of the area boy's decided that they wanted a golf course. As with most small courses, it began with sand greens. Until late 2011, the course had been member owned. The City of Alcester took over ownership of the course late in 2011

Par for the course is 34. From the back tees the course plays to 2,541 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 2,273 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 7, a par-5 that plays to 485 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 162 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 8, a 166 yard par-3 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 9, a 290 yard par-4.
