Sea Pines Resort is a Resort, 54 hole golf facility located in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The facility has three championship 18-hole golf courses. They are Harbor Town Golf Links, Heron Point Golf Course, and Atlantic Dunes Golf Course.
Atlantic Dunes Golf Course, originally named the Ocean Course, first opened in 1962 and was a George Cobb design. The Ocean Course was, the first course built on Hilton Head. Atlantic Dunes Golf Course is a complete reconstruction of the Ocean Course. The new design was the work of Davis Love III and was completed in 2016.
The new bunkering is impressive aesthetically and ads to the challenge. In addition to the bunkers, the course frequently has water that comes into play. The greens are large. #15 offers inspiring views of the ocean and beach.
Love takes a page from the Pete Dye school of design with hard-edged pier bulkheads around ponds.
Championship tees: par-72, 7,010 yards, 74.3 / 143

I really enjoyed the difficulty of this course. I was not very thrilled that the score card had no layout of the course and nor did the hole signs. With many vacationers playing in the area adding GPS would be helpful and speed up play. I will say that the course conditions were beautiful and the views were stunning.

Course was in very conditon. Greens were very firm but a bit slow, though they rolled true. Staff was very accomodating.
