Greer Golf & Country Club

Greer Golf & Country Club is a semi-private 18-hole golf facility located in Greer, South Carolina.

Greer Golf & Country Club opened for play in 1955.

The Par 72 course is rated mountain hilly with its downhill lines favoring shot-makers over power-hitters. There are close to 400 members, but the course and restaurant are still open to the public

The fairways are tight and tree-lined, and the greens vary from small to medium. Lakes and streams come into play on four holes. The most difficult is #5, a 366-yard, par 4, featuring a fairway that slopes down to the left.

There are four sets of tee boxes. They play to 6,371 yards, 5,992 yards, 5,516 yards, and 4,963 yards.

After being approached by the club, the city of Greer, South Carolina, located between Greenville and Spartanburg, purchase the property for about $1.6 million. It is expected to invest another $1 million in capital improvements on the 160-acre site. The 18-hole course will be open to the public.
