Detailed description

Bonnie Brae Golf Club is a Semi-Private 18 holes golf course  located in Greenville,South Carolina.

Bonnie Brae Golf Club first opened for play in 1961.

The signature hole is #1, a 457-yard, par 4, which calls for both accuracy and distance to score well.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,546 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,438 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 4, a par-5 that plays to 555 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 150 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 1, this 457-yard par-4 challenge is the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Bonnie Brae Golf Course is # 12, the 150 yard par-3.

The course closed June 30, 2018.

The course sits on 198 acres zoned for low-density residential land use. Records indicate the Willimon family owned the property as of June 19, 2018, and that no requests to redevelop the property had come up for a vote at county meetings.

Public records show the Willimon family secured high-density residential zoning last year for a neighboring 67-acre wooded parcel. They then sold that parcel to Spartanburg, S.C. developer Mark III Properties for $1.6 million in July 2017. It remains undeveloped as of June 2018.
