Detailed description

Old Carolina Golf Club is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Bluffton, South Carolina.

Old Carolina Golf Club opened for play in November 1996. The course was designed by Clyde Johnston.

The Old Carolina Golf Club Golf Course winds through oak forests and over low country wetlands. The large, undulating greens carry good speed and several are tiered. The rolling fairways are narrow but fair. Hazards include sand and grass bunkers, waste bunkers, lateral water hazards and protected wetlands.

The 9-hole Old Carolina Golf Course plays to a par-36 and maximum 9-hole distance of 3,400 yards.

If playing a double loop 18, par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6805 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4725 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 565 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 2, a par-3 that plays to 170 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 9, a 430 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 17, a 355 yard par-4.

The course closed in 2016.
