Detailed description

Cobb's Creek Golf Club, site of the Greater Philadelphia area's first public golf course in 1916, is home to two 18-hole golf courses -- "The Olde Course" and "The Karakung Course." The Olde Course is the crown jewel amongst Philadelphia's courses, having been nationally ranked as the #6 Best Municipal Course by Golfweek Magazine.

Cobb's Creek Golf Club is a 36-hole public golf facility located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Club is the site of the first public golf course in the Greater Philadelphia area and today houses two 18-hole courses - "The Olde Course" and "The Karakung Course."

The Olde Course was designed by Hugh Wilson (architect of the famed Merion-East course in nearby Ardmore, PA). The course is a mature tree-lined golf course.

Accuracy is a must on the front nine as the layout takes full advantage of the namesake creek, which meanders through the course and comes into play on the first six holes. The back nine is equally challenging and highlighted by a string of lengthy holes, including the monstrous 638-yard 14th Hole. T

Blue tees: 6,202 yards, course rating 69.9, slope rating 123.

White tees: 5,736 yards, course rating 67.6, slope rating 116.

Red tees: 5,433 yards, course rating 69.8, slope rating 118.

The course closed in 2020. It is scheduled to reopen in 2024.
