Detailed description

Chester Valley Golf Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Malvern, Pennsylvania.

Chester Valley Golf Club opened in 1930. The course was designed by Donald Ross. The course was redesigned by Perry Maxwell, later by George Fazio and most recently by Forse Design.

Our “old style” championship golf course challenges all levels of skill. The newly renovated 18-hole layout plays to par 70 with beautiful holes that challenge golfers of every skill level. Chester Valley has long been considered by most a treasure of Philadelphia golf, and as such was selected to host a Champions Tour event from 1985 to 1997. Chester Valley soon became known as one of the toughest tests on the Champions Tour and #6 has continually been ranked as one of the top five toughest holes; a ranking that often included golf holes played in the Senior U. S. Open.

Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6,621 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5,182 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 571 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 192 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 6, a 432 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 10, a 216 yard par-3.
