Gettysburg Golf Course has small, undulating greens. The greens can be fast at times, especially in the summer months. The fairways are tree lined and have a primary and deep secondary cut of rough. The #1 handicap hole is #8, a 440-yard, par 4, requiring a downhill tee shot. There is a creek running across the fairway about 290 yards from the tee box, and the green has sand bunkers on both sides.
