Rocky Spring Golf Course, is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Rocky Spring Golf Course was the Letterkenny Army Depot military course until 2000 when it was converted to a public golf course.
The course first opened for play in 1962.
Rocky Spring Golf Course is an "easy to walk" course. It doesn't have water hazards or require blind shots. It is a what you see is what you get, stright forward, layout. The wide fairways only feature a scattering of trees that can alter your shots, plus the medium-sized greens are hard to read. Additional tees are avaulable for those playing a double loop eighteen hole round.
White tees: par-35, 2,872 yards
Red tees: par-35, 2,489 yards
$21 (cart included), played on Sunday, May 2016 at 3:00 PM
Considering the options in the area, this is not a bad course. It's not in the best shape... but I've played worse. There are only 9 holes, but a couple of holes have alternative tees for a back nine.
