Detailed description

Chesnut Hill Golf Course is a 9-hole public golf course located in Ravenna, Ohio.

The course opened in the 1940s. The architect for Chestnut Hills Golf Course was Harrold Paddock.

This executive length course played to a par-30 with a layout of three par-4s and six par-3s.

Wally Moore was the original owner followed by James Moore owner, manager of Chestnut Hills. Lou Donato was the golf professional.

Vic Marozzi a retired Southeast High School golf coach and champion of several junior events at the course remembered that Mondays were Kids Days in the 1960s. “We took two dollars with us, played 18 holes at 50 cents for each nine, and bought a Stewart’s pizza and a root beer float and came home with a quarter.”

The course closed in 1986.
