Granville Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Granville, Ohio.
Granville Golf Course first opened for play in 1924. The course was designed by Donald Ross.
Located thiry-five miles east of Columbus, Ohio, this 6,612-yard length won't frighten anybody, but the vintage Donald Ross greens and dramatic elevation changes, will have you smiling. Even the addition of houses on the back nine can't wipe away the charm that this vitage layout exudes.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6612 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5413 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 443 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 1, a 332 yard par-4. The Granville Golf Course signature hole is the 18th, the tee is elevated 125ft. above the fairway. The second shot is to a small two tiered green.

Amazing layout, Donald Ross at its finest. Only thing bad was that the fairways were shaggy.

My major (and only real) complaint about Granville is its greens. There are so many undulations and the greens slope in every direction, making it difficult to two-putt from 10 feet in some cases. This is a lovely course with interesting holes. The second nine is more challenging than the first, but not unfairly so. The course is in good condition and it's fun to play.

A challenging and scenic layout--especially the signature 18th hole with an elevated tee box overlooking the entire course and with a view of Dennison College. Varied terrain makes it interesting to play and expensive homes line the outskirts of the course. A long course and challenging even from the women's tees. Always well maintained. I play it every year when I visit my sister who lives in Granville, and have never been disappointed.
