Detailed description

Denison Golf Club, previously named Granville Golf Course, is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Granville, Ohio.

The venue first opened for play in 1924. The course was designed by Donald Ross.

Located thirty miles east of Columbus, Ohio, this 6,612-yard length won't frighten anybody, but the vintage Donald Ross greens and dramatic elevation changes will have you smiling. The golf course finishes with its signature hole, a par 4 that is easily the most dramatic of any on the layout. The hole is known for the 125-foot drop from the tee to the fairway, after which a second shot to a small, two-tiered green is required. Even the addition of houses on the back nine can't wipe away the charm that this vintage layout exudes.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 6612 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5413 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 10, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 171 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 2, a 443-yard par-4 challenge, and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 1, a 332 yard par-4. The Granville Golf Course signature hole is the 18th, the tee is elevated 125ft. above the fairway. The second shot is to a small two-tiered green.
