The course first opened for play in 1958.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,369 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,167 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 11, a par-5 that plays to 575 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 9, a par-3 that plays to 154 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 523-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Rockfish Golf Course is # 14, a 189 yard par-3.
The course went into foreclosure and closed in 2018.

The 161 /- acre parcel, formerly Rockfish Country Club is located approximately 1 mile west of Wallace is located on both sides of HWY 41 (Wallace Hwy). This property includes a 18 hole golf course, 6 tees driving range, large commercial swimming pool, pro shop building, banquet building, (2) maintenance shop buildings, etc. The 18-hole course is listed as a 6,369 yard, par 72 regulation course originally opened in 1958. The course is laid out on both sides of HWY 41 with holes 1-9, the swimming pool, banquet hall, maintenance shed, and clubhouse on the north side of the road and holes 10-18 and the maintenance shop located on the south side of the highway. The majority of the property is primarily open land used for a golf course. There are large mature trees (mostly pine) partially lining the fairways as natural boundaries between holes. The property is bordered along the north and east sides by Rockfish Creek and is wooded right along the creek line.
