Red Fox Country Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Tryon, North Carolina.
The course first opened for play in 1966. The Red Fox Golf Course was designed by Ellis Maples.
There are streams and a thirty-acre lake that come into play on several holes. The fairways were built on rolling terrain and the small greens are fast. Red Fox Golf Course has been rated among America's top 100 in "Golf Digest's" annual selection 3 times.

Most of the rough will destroy your clubs. The sand traps are ground red clay and don't drain well. However, I will play it again because it's the cheapest course around (two for $30 on Monday and Tuesday with advance reservations).
