Putnam National is one of those rare public golf courses where golfers can enjoy the tradition of excellence established when the course was a private country club. The course first opened for play in the 1960's. The course was designed by William F. Mitchell. Putnam National plays to 6,779 yards from the back tees. The course rating is 73 and the slope rating is 129.
