Woodgate Pines Golf Club first opened for play in 1928.
Woodgate Pines Golf Course is typically wide open, but there are a few wooded holes. On the front nine, the fairways are mostly flat. Some sand bunkers are spread throughout the course. The back nine is hilly, and was cut out of the woods. There is more water on the back nine than the front nine.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 5,731 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 4,550 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 3, a par-5 that plays to 558 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 133 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 18, a 372 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Woodgate Pines Golf Club is # 2, a 140 yard par-3. The signature hole is #18, a 372-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg right fairway, then an approach shot over a pond to the green.

i was very impressed with the mint condition of the greens.fast and firm, and undulating. The course is not long but it's bunkered greens and water holes make it quite challanging. The woodsy aroma of the entire course was very refreshing. Can't wait to play it again in the fall.

Great condition, friendly staff and good pace of pley. It plays like 2 golf courses: original nine wide open with 3 par 5s, second nine very tight with a lot of hilly terrain and sloping greens.
