Dande Farms Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Akron, New York.
Dande Farms Golf Course first opened for play in 1959. Where you see a golf course today was farmland in 1959, and a vision by 3 men who were tired of traveling out of Akron to play golf. Dande Farms was founded in 1959 by Len Daniels, Ben DeYoung and Ed Mattioli. The course name comes from a combination of the Daniels and DeYoung surnames and that it was once farmland.
Originally a 9 hole course, the course was expanded to 18 holes in 1965. Dande Farms Golf Course was built on hilly terrain and features wide fairways. The large greens are fast. Water hazards come into play on five holes. Although free of sand traps, the layout, water hazards and old growth trees make for a unique and challenging round of golf.
