The Dam Nine, named for the flood control dam behind which it was built in 1987 gave Arroyo del Oso Golf Course a total of 27 holes. It plays to a Par 36 at 3,300 yards, crossing the arroyo three times.
The Dam Nine Course is somewhat difficult because of its water hazards, hilly fairways, and undulating greens.

One of the better local munis in the Albuquerque area. Very good greens for the amount of play seen. Busy course but decent pace of play most weekends. BEST Green Chile Cheeseburger in the area.

My brother and I played this course and it was a good deal for the price. Better then most municipal courses in my home state of Texas. Big problem was the pace of play and the club rentals were a joke. I think they bought my clubs at a garage sale. Last no direction of course layout on the scorecard. Good luck.

Good local course for the money, greens usually fast and in good shape considering the quantity of players this area sees. One of the best green chile cheese burgers available in NM-a must eat.

Very economical. Really nice views of the mountains. Fairways were pretty wide, and many holes played very much the same - somewhat monotonous. Par 3's were all long.

Greens had just been aerated and the "sand" they used had many little pebbles in it. Nice views of the mountains.

Better grass on the practice tee would be nice, sometimes it is beat down to the dirt because of all the use. The course itself is pretty nice.
