Detailed description

Jumping Brook Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Neptune, New Jersey.

Jumping Brook Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1925. The course was designed by A.W. Tillinghast and his protoge, Willard G. Wilkinson.

In 1924,Willard approached his mentor and announced that he wanted to strike out on his own and start his own golf design company. Wilkinson, or Willie (believe it or not), entered private practice, aided by his former employer, who generously arranged for him to complete three Tillinghast courses and receive the fees still due on them. One of these courses was Jumping Brook Country Club.

Time, erosion, tree growth and other factors have a way of slowly changing the original design of a golf course. Recognizing the purity and classic nature of the original design, Jumping Brook golf course was redone to conform with the Tillinghast creation. Ian Scott-Taylor of Wales was in charge of this classic design renovation. Jumping Brook was awarded "Best Renovation" for the year 2001 by the New Jersey Chapter of the National Golf Course Owners' Association

Jumping Brook plays to a par-72 and 6,619 yards of golf from the Championship tees. The course rating from the Championship tees is 73.0 and the slope rating is 133. The White tees measure 6,207 yards, 70.5/129. The Gold tees measure 5,368 yards, 67.5/125. The Red tees measure 5,303 yards, 72.4/130.

In 2003, Jumping Brook Country Club took yet another step in its progression back to one of the region's most sought after Memberships. The introduction of a 300 Primary Member Cap.
