Detailed description

Highland Springs Country Club, is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Springfield, Missouri.

Highland Springs Country Club golf course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

Jones succeeded in creating a golf course that exemplifies the Ozarks. Jones utilized the Dogwood, Elm, Maple, and Walnut trees found on the property to produce a course with rolling hills, local foliage, and streams that flow across the land. The fairways and tee boxes utilize sodded Zoysia leading to Bentgrass greens. If golfers veer too far off the hole they will be greeted with a rough mixture of Fescue, bluegrass, ryegrass, or one of over seventy sand and grass bunkers. Water hazards on seven holes can also prove to be an obstacle along the journey.

Highland Springs also offers practice facilities for every player to hone their game. The facilities feature a chipping green and bunker right next door to their driving range with dual tees and a manicured putting green. All practice facilities are a short golf cart trip away from Hole No. 1, allowing golfers to get loose before starting a round.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7038 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5468 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 1, a par-5 that plays to 547 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 149 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 422 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 15, a 149 yard par-3.
