Detailed description

Bill & Payne Stewart Municipal Golf Course -Regulation, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Springfield, Missouri.

The course was first opened for play in 1947. It was designed by Perry Maxwell.

The course plays to 6,172 yards from the back tees with Par being 70. The White tees are set at 5,875 yards and The Red tees measure 5,360 yards. The design of the course requires accurate iron play and puts a premium on putting. The layout is both challenging and fun.

The course was named for two of the Ozark's favorite sons. This Springfield course pays tribute to Missouri Amateur winner Bill Stewart and his son Payne Stewart, who won on tour 11 times, including two U.S. Open's and one PGA Championship.
