Nestled in a grove of pine and maple trees, Eveleth Municipal Golf Course borders St. Mary's Lake and proves that bigger isn't always better. This course's nine challenging holes are enjoyed by seasoned golfers and beginners alike. Eveleth Municipal Golf Course has narrow fairways and fast greens. Water can come into play on two holes. In addition, several sand bunkers have been randomly spread throughout the course.
Par for the course is 36. From the back tees, the course plays to 3162 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 2638 yards. The course starts out with a 325-yard, par 4, with a wide fairway, but a well-bunkered green. The longest hole on the course is # 2, a par-5 that plays to 552 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 7, a par-3 that plays to 128 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 2, a 552 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Eveleth Municipal is # 7, the 128 yard par-3.
