Vermilion Fairways Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 9 hole golf course located 4.2 miles north of Cook, Minnesota.
Vermilion Fairways Golf Club first opened for play in 1965. The course was designed by Ren Balland.
The fairways are generous in landing area because of their width. A few trees line the sides of most of the fairways. Most holes are relatively flat and straight from tee to green. Small ponds sit far enough away from the fairways and greens to pose no major problems for the average golfer. Large bent grass greens hold most pitch and run approach shots. They do not have major contour changes but have enough undulations to make players experience contoured putting surfaces. 100, 150 and 200-yard (on the par fives) markers provide golfers with approach shot distances.
The course plays to a 9-hole par of 36 and maximum 9-hole distance of 3,245 yard.
White tees: par-36, 3,245 yards, 35.4 / 123
White tees(W): par-36, 3,245 yards, 38.1 / 132
Red tees: par-39, 2,974 yards, 36.9 / 131
