Detailed description

Hilltop Golf Course is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Plymouth, Michigan.

Hilltop Golf Course first opened for play in 1927. The course design was updated/renovated by Jerry Matthews in 1982.

Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6018 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4808 yards and plays to a par-75. The longest hole on the course is # 13, a par-5 that plays to 545 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 169 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 7, a 538 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Hilltop Golf Course is # 10, a 253 yard par-4.

#1, is a beautiful par-4, playing at 370 yards from the back and 330 from the front. You'll find trees left and right all the way down the fairway. You'll be driving off an elevated tee box; watch out for the creek that runs across the fairway about 100 yards short of the green. Your second shot is uphill to a green with a backdrop of large pine trees. Behind the green, there's a drop-off as well so be careful not to go long here.

#5 is a par-4 that plays at 402 yards from the back tees, 400 from the middle and 364 from the forward tees. As you stand on the tee box, take a good look at the scenery all around; the trees on the left and on the right on this slightly uphill fairway. The green here is sloped from front to back with mounds around the green.

#6 is a short par-4 dogleg right with a huge weeping willow tree on the right-hand side of the fairway. You need to hit a precise position shot off the tee to avoid tree trouble. Your second shot will take you into a fairly small green with a lot of movement to it. This hole measures 330 yards from the back and 280 yards from the front.

#11, a par-3, measures 202 yards from the back, 179 from the middle and 171 from the front, is one of their most outstanding holes. You'll be firing downhill to a bunkered green with mounding in the back. This is a green that slopes from back to front so be careful where you place your ball.

#16 is a par-4 (343 yards from the back, 316 from the middle and 220 from the front) has a tree-lined fairway that is one of the most picturesque holes, with beautiful red maples on the left. You can hit driver off the tee, and if your placement is good, you'll have a short second shot into the green. This dogleg right is not only one of the most scenic spots, but it's also the kind of hole where you can catch up a bit and lower your score.

#18 is a par-5 that plays at 479 yards from the back and 383 from the front, you'll be taking on a fairway that runs down at first and then up again. The fairway is somewhat narrow with trees right and left. You want to be in front of the hole on this green which has a very difficult putting surface.
