Detailed description

Salt River Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in New Baltimore, Michigan.

Salt River Golf Course opened first opened for play in 1933.

With tricky dog legs, well placed water hazards, and challenging approaches to sloped greens, you'll use all the clubs in your bag. Salt River is a course for players of all skill levels. The Salt River flows throughout this course, and water hazards come into play on ten holes. The signature hole is #4, a 162-yard, par 3, featuring not only a breathtaking design, but a severe slope in the fairway that will punish any ball hit short of the green.

Par for the course is 71. From the back tees the course plays to 6107 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5196 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 576 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 11, a par-3 that plays to 141 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 9, a 448 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Salt River Golf Course is # 11, the 141 yard par-3.

The course closed at the end of the 2014 season. The roughly 114-acre property included the 18-hole golf course and a 48,000-square-foot building with 32 bowling lanes and a 350-person banquet room. The property was listed for sale at $1.6 million. Reportedly investors have purchased the property with an intend to develop the property for residential use.
