Norwood Country Club is a public 18-hole golf course located in Norwood, Massachusetts. The course is conveniently located on Route 1 behind the Chateau Restaurant and Hampton Inn close to Route 95.
Opened in 1975, Norwood Country Club is one of the New England golfers favorites. The course was designed by Sam Mitchell.
The course was built on fairly level terrain. The greens are medium-sized. Water hazards come into play on several holes. The wind is a constant factor on this course, so proper club selection is a large part of the game. The facility also has a lighted driving range, golf school, and a fun sports bar.
Par for the course is 71. From the back tees, the course plays to 5,630 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,676 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 12, a par-5 that plays to 518 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 130 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 376-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Norwood Golf Course is # 15, the 130 yard par-3.

Simply put. Horrible. From the fairways to the extra holes plugged with plastic on the greens. Right near an airport with planes and helicopters skimming the treelines as you tee off. You get to see Channel 4,5 and 7 all at once. Helicopters that is! Looking forward to a decent finsh? Don't. The last 3 holes are drab, unchallenging and mirror each other. Stopped in the clubhouse for a hotdog and a beer after 9. It took 15 - 20 minutes to get service and the personality of dude behind the bar was drier than a yeast infection in the sahara desert. This was the worst fathers day investment my brother and I could have made for our father. Beware of the 4 person specials online. Research bfore you go. I call it like I see it. Don't waste your time.
