Detailed description

Elmcrest Country Club, previously private, is now semi-private. This 18 hole golf course located in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

Elmcrest Country Club first opened for play in 1967. The course was designed by the Secors brothers.

The Elmcrest course was built on rolling terrain. The course has tree-lined fairways on the front nine and open fairways on the back nine. The slightly undulating greens are medium-sized.  Water hazards (streams and ponds) come into play on a number of holes.

The signature hole is #18, a 439-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a dogleg left fairway guarded by a pond on the right and a double bunker on the left.

Par for the course is 70. From the back tees, the course plays to 6,347 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,363 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 540 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 17, a par-3 that plays to 166 yards from the back tees.

Watch out for # 5, a 464 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 11, a 203 yard par-3.

In 2016, Elmcrest Country Club was purchased for $1 million at a foreclosure auction. Golf architect David M. Fleury headed the group that bought the course. This is the same group that in 2012 purchased Crestview Country Club in Agawam.
