Detailed description
Kentucky Hills Golf Course is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Summer Shade, Kentucky.

Summer Shade is a small unincorporated town in Metcalfe County, Kentucky, United States. There is not much industry, as it is a rural-dominated area. It is, however, home to the Kingsford Charcoal factory. This plant is the largest briquette factory in the world.

Kentucky Hills Golf Course first opened for play in 1996. The course was designed by Terry Ashenburg.

Kentucky Hills Golf Course was built on very hilly terrain, so expect uneven lies. The fairways are fairly wide and a few are lined with mature trees, while others are lined with younger trees. Water hazards come into play on four holes, and there are no sand bunkers. The greens are large, undulating and fast. The signature hole is #7, a 185-yard, par 3, calls for a tee shot over water.

Kentucky Hills Golf Course plays to a par-36 for 9-holes and a maximum 9-hole distance of 3,200 yards. The course rating is 33.6 with a slope rating of 112.
