The course is laid out across an old steeplechase farm that gently rolls across the beautiful bluegrass located just minutes away from downtown Louisville. This golf course is both challenging but fair for all skill levels as one must manage the 11 water hazards that come into play as well as the bunkers that are strategically placed.

This country club course is a good layout with challenging holes, but I was so totally turned off by the proximity of the houses to the fairways, tee boxes and greens that I was unable to enjoy the course at all. Like most country clubs, they provide lots of amenities and a nice practice area. If the course had no houses on it, I would probably consider it to be a better than average course, but it lacks any ambience at all and after a few holes I started to feel claustrophobic.
