The following is a Nov 2014 report from http://www.wdrb.com

The 18-hole course was once used by golf carts. It's now used as walking paths and has been converted into a large green space for Indian Springs residents.

It all came about after the previous owner wanted to close the course, which was struggling financially.

That's when residents were given a rare opportunity.

“We worked out a deal with the previous owner to take control of the golf course in February of this year, and in turn he kept a few acres out front along Westport Road to develop,” said Todd Hall, with the Indian Springs Board of Directors.

You can see development happening at the front of the subdivision.

An Aldi is already in the works and will soon be followed by a McDonalds.
