Detailed description

Rolling Hills Country Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Wichita, Kansas.

The course at Rolling Hills is one that will challenge golfers of all skill levels. It is situated on 130 acres of rolling terrain close to the Cowskin Creek. The fairways are narrow and rolling, lined by big mature trees. Rolling Hills has long been known for its fast, undulating greens.

Originally built in the 1920's as Westlink Acres. In 1948 the course was sold to the founding members of Rolling Hills and has been operated as a country club ever since.

Floyd Farley was hired in 1963 to redesign the course. Most of the original course is gone after the rerouting of all of the holes. The design of Farley in 1963 is mostly what a player sees today.

In 1950 Rolling Hills hosted the Women's US Open. Many of the top female players of the day competed here. While here for that event, the LPGA was founded.

In addition to the Women's Open, Rolling Hills has hosted many state and local championships.
