Detailed description
The Golf Club of Kansas is a semi-private, 18-hole golf course located in Lenexa, Kansas.

The Golf Club of Kansas opened for play in 2007. The course was designed by Tom Jackson.

Part of the ourse runs through what was once a 50-acre open pit quarry with 60-foot sheer rock walls. The rest of the layout stretches across 130 rolling acres next to the Kansas Sports Center and the Lenexa City Center.

Some 140 feet of accumulated elevation change provides unique drama. The course can be a competitive test for low handicappers, however, the holes here have enough negotiable escape routes to allow even the most casual golfer a magical round. Clever use of the natural stone quarry provides several holes dramatic panoramas. Strategically located lakes and winding streams meander throughout the property. Combined with terrain that flows from thickly wooded corridors to open grasslands, this setting offers numerous options for exciting, dramatic holes with constant elevation flow. The par-5 18th features a peninsula green set into a lake.
