Geneva Golf & Country Club first opened for play in 1900 as a 9-hole golf course.
In 1976 93 acres of land were purchased to allow expansion of the golf course from 9 holes to 18 holes. Plans and refinancing of the $650,000 project included 12 new holes, watered fairways and 15 new greens.
1979 - Financing of the 18 hole golf course expansion was approved in June and construction started later that summer.
1982 - The club celebrated its second â€œGrand Opening.â€ Members play the â€œnewâ€ layout in mid May. The official dedication ceremonies were held on Friday, May 28 following a festive weekend of activities. The 18-hole course was designed by David Arthur Gill.
The Geneva Golf & Country Club golf course plays to a par-71 and a maximum distance of 6,418 yards. The course rating is 70.5 and the slope rating is 128.
