The Fort Golf Course is a Resort 18 hole golf course located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The course underwent major renovations on both the front and back nines and reopened in 1997. The renovations were designed by Pete Dye.
The course is heavily wooded and very hilly. The fairways are fairly wide and tree lined. The medium-sized greens are elevated, undulating and some are double-tiered. Water hazards (small streams) come into play on three holes. Both the fairways and greens are well-bunkered on every hole.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,148 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,045 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 582 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 5, a par-3 that plays to 170 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 479 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole is # 14, a 186 yard par-3.

My expectations of The Fort were quite high and most of these expectations were realized. The design was fabulous, the staff was sincere, and everything else was great except for the condition of the course. The fairways had an abundance of divots and the greens had so many pich marks that were not repaired that it was a travesty. I loved the Layout on this property and I will definitely be back at least 1 more time. Hopefully, they'll repair the fairway & green problem before I return.

Rare day in March to play! With all the winter weather and rain we've had, the course is in terrific shape. One of the rare courses in Indiana that was 're-done' and it made it much better from the layout to the course conditions. Great course!

One of the best couses in Indiana. Great layout carved through beautiful nature. One of my favorites.
