Detailed description

Tunnel Hill Golf Club is a Public, 9 hole golf course located in Tunnel Hill, Georgia. Tunnel Hill was the site of action involving the great locomotive chase of the Civil War and The General and the Texan. Union soilders stole a train and headed north toward Chattanooga, TN, blowing up bridges and track in an attempt to break the rail link between Atlanta and Chattanooga.

The Tunnel Hill Golf Course first opened for play in 1958. The course was designed by Sam Pullen.

Although in hilly country, Tunnel Hill's fairways were built on flat terrain, but its greens are elevated. There is only one dogleg fairway throughout the entire course. Locals say that this is a good course for beginners. There are additional tees that can be used when playing a double loop eighteen hole round.

Blue tees: par-36, 3,329 yards

Red tees: par-37, 2,829 yards
