Detailed description

West Pines Golf Club, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Douglasville, Georgia.

The first 9 holes of West Pines Golf Club opened for play in 1965. The completion of the second 9 came several several years later. In 2004, the City of Douglasville purchased the existing golf course. The City hired HMS Golf of Woodstock to redesign, rebuild and manage the golf course. HMS Golf had local golf architect and former PGA Tour player, Bill Bergin re-design the course. Forefront Construction began the reconstruction in early 2005.

The result, a new golf course with 18 new holes, a practice tee and putting green. The course opened on December 26, 2005 to rave reviews, playing over 30,000 rounds in 2006. In the fall of 2006, the new clubhouse opened in time to host the City of Douglasville's annual charity golf tournament.

West Pines Golf Club plays to 6,832 yards. Par for the course is 71. The course rating is 71.1 and the slope rating is 121.
