Detailed description

Flint River Municipal Golf Course, previously named Turner Field Golf Course, is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Albany, Georgia. The course was originally a military course serving Turner Air Force Base which later became Naval Air Station, Albany, Georgia. The base closed in 1974 and was turned over to the city for development.

The course first opened for play in 1964.

The back nine holes play alongside water hazards and feature formidable greens and fairways. There are two ponds and a small stream that runs throughout the course. The most difficult hole is #10, a 485-yard, par 5, which requires a tee shot down a dogleg left fairway.

Gold tees: par-71, 6,470 yards, 70.8 / 124
Blue tees: par-71, 5,942 yards, 68.2 / 120
White tees: par-71, 5,293 yards, 64.6 / 110
Red tees: par-72, 4,814 yards, 67.6 / 112
